OUR IDENTITY STATEMENT

New Hope is a family of believers

actively committed to Jesus Christ

and His ministry of Help, Hope and Healing.​


Love god.  Change the world.
 

What we mean by: LOVE GOD.

1. To put God first in all your affections, all your priorities;
therefore, in everything you think, decide and do.

" 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your mind.'
This is the first and greatest commandment."
-Jesus, in Matthew 22:37-38--

2. To love the people and things which God loves
and His Son, Jesus, died to redeem.

"So now I am giving you a new Great Command*:
Have Divine-Love for one another. As I have had
Divine-Love for you, so you must have Divine-Love
for one another. Your Divine-Love for one another 
will prove to the world that you are My disciples."
-Jesus, John 13:34-35

What we mean by: CHANGE THE WORLD.

1. Our Mission is to help as many people as
possible to hear and respond to the
Gospel and become Jesus' disciples.

"All authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations..."
-Jesus, in Matthew 28:18-


Our Method:  WORSHIP
 

1. The highest function of human beings is
to have Spirit-to-spirit communion with our Creator.
When we are born again by faith in Jesus,
communion with God is restored as the highest priority.

"God is Spirit, and His worshippers must worship Him
in spirit and in truth."
John 4:24

2. Daily personal prayer and mediation on God's word.

In the morning, O Lord, You hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait in expectation.
Psalm 5:3
My soul yearns for You in the night;
in the morning my spirit longs for You.
Isaiah 26:9a

3. Weekly Body-Life worship, including (Heb. 10:24-25)

-Faithfully attending the preaching and teaching of God's Word:
growing in grace and knowledge (Col. 3:16; Rom. 10:17; 2 Peter 3:18).
Studying God's Word together is worship.

-Singing songs of adoration and commitment to the Father, Son
and Spirit. (Eph. 5:18-20; Col. 3:16).

-Prayer and intercession for each other and for the lost.

-Providing fellowship, encouragement and spiritual protection
to one another through Biblical and spiritual discernment.

-Living to give while helping each other invest our lives
and assets for eternity. 

What we mean by: CONNECT

1. We share and cultivate a common life and 
come together to build up Christ's Body
through love for each other and the lost.

" 'Just as a body, though one, has many parts, 
but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.
For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form
one body...Now you are the body of Christ,
and each one of you is a part of it. 
1 Corinthians 12:12-13a, 27

2. We connect in Life Circles for fellowship,
Biblical application, prayer, and accountability.

3. We connect in serving-teams to others both
inside and outside New Hope in order to be used
of God for a Spirit-anointed, redemptive impact
in our Church family and our greater community.
We are intentional in choosing to be salt and light (Matt.5:13-16).

4. We work and give together to provide
compassionate response and mission support
around the world.
 

What we mean by: REACH

1. We help each other live in love so that we
manifest authentic relationships of 
integrity that bring God glory through our
families, our Church family and our friendships.

2. We seek by loving others to earn the right
to share the Good News with nonbelievers,
which brings truth and freedom then heals
their broken lives and relationships.
